Sam Wyly - I come from a long line of teachers and preachers, and wrote the book to show that our Dallas goes beyond Fort Worth and San Antonio. Dallas goes all the way to Oklahoma, Colorado, Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee, Alabama, and Louisiana. A book like this hadn't been written before, so our stories tell about a uniquely blended diversity in Dallas.  It was fun to work with my children, the executive producers of this book, to make this happen. Our positive messages will provide a roadmap to unifying our country.Laurie Matthews - Dad's ideas are unlimited - he's always stretching his thoughts and creating new ways to look at everything. Stories I heard from him while writing this book are different than those I heard as a child. Dad's been involved in so many ways, working as a young entrepreneur with Erik Jonsson; supporting education in every grade from elementary school through college; promoting renewable electricity with Green Mountain Energy; and supporting the arts on every level, including the Wyly Theatre. I learned so much about Dallas and Texas while writing this book with Dad.  Each reader will learn something different by reading this book.Andrew Wyly - I especially enjoyed working with my family to publish this book. Together we created a book from what began as different ideas, experiences and opinions about Dallas.  While transcribing Dad's many pages of notes, creating an outline, and organizing stories, I learned to appreciate Dallas even more. It was both challenging and rewarding for me to organize the book. About the Author
Sam Wyly was raised in Louisiana, got his MBA from University of Michigan, & was a salesman for IBM. At age 28, created University Computing Company, first of 6 enterprises Wyly grew to over $1 billion valuations. Sam resides in Dallas, is a Christian Scientist, has 6 children, 12 grandchildren, & 7 great-grandchildren. He is author of Texas Got it Right!, 1,000 Dollars & An Idea, & The Immigrant Spirit. His children are his greatest legacy. Laurie Matthews was born & raised in Dallas. She & twin sister Lisa were soccer teammates in Highland Park & at Principia College. She is a lifelong member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist. Enjoys the fruits of "All Roads Lead to Dallas," because this brought her true love & husband David into her life from Oklahoma City. After Principia graduation, she taught English to children in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Following her father's footsteps, Laurie worked in customer service at a software company in California. Back to Dallas to raise a family. Laurie was an active volunteer in her children's school, Alcuin Montessori/IB School, & has been president of its board. She is active in her church, serving as clerk & reading room librarian. Andrew Wyly is an entrepreneur, investor, & film producer. Texan by choice since 2004, he was born & raised in Malibu Colony, with schooling in the Santa Monica Mountains & at the American school in Switzerland. After earning a bachelor's degree from Denison University, Andrew worked as a sales agent for Green Mountain Energy & managed a hedge fund portfolio. He has continued his interest in political economics through participation in several think tanks & with his dad at the Philadelphia Convention that nominated George W. Bush for president. In 2007, he created the Andrew Wyly Film Company. Blood Shot was his first feature film. Co-authored, Texas Got It Right! & Dallas Got It Right!

Following up on his success with Texas Got it Right comes another book chock full of fun and interesting facts about my home town of Dallas. Sam Wyly leads us through politics, sports, business, music and the arts, military and many other subjects and ties them all back to our great expanding city of Dallas in a way no other could. I thoroughly enjoyed learning new and old facts about the history of this great city. I highly recommend this book to the knowledge seekers in all of us.

I love all the pictures and the variety of stories, too.
There are about four pages that actually talk about Dallas. I have no idea why they named it Dallas got it right it's mostly about Texas in general. Small paragraphs about random topics
I grew up in Dallas, and absolutely loved this! Such a great read, and highly recommend!
