Rachel did a fabulous job of pulling on my emotions. I have never lost a child, but I felt the loss that Adam and Kendall felt. She did a great job of revealing the love story slowly to the point I didn't even think Leo was the hero until part way through. It was a slow build that really worked. It has a happy ending and I always love those! Great job and I recommend starting with Bronze Bay 1, Keeping it. The whole series is awesome.

We met Kendall and Leo when they were younger in Stealing It so I was really looking forward to their story! I should note that it’s not necessary to read Stealing It, but they’re backstory definitely enriches Lust in Translation. I was hooked from the prologue. Kendall has gone through a lot in five years and we later find out that Leo has as well. Despite this being an immediate page turner, I was also a bit worried because I wasn’t sure what direction this was going in, but I’m so glad I stuck with it. This is a super emotional and angsty journey about life, love and loss. There were so many factors that lead to the circumstances in this book and I think it’s a good example of knowing the whole story before you judge. This story is so complex and beautiful. It’s a sweet slow burn and it’s scorching when it finally ignites. This book is really the whole package. From the emotionally gripping prologue to the perfectly sweet, swoony epilogue, this is definitely a story you don’t know any to skip on.

ARC gifted by author in exchange for an honest review.Lust in Translation is Kendall and Leo’s story. If you have been reading the Bronze Bay series, you know that Kendall is Magnolia’s daughter from Stealing It. Leo is the stinker that caused all the problems in their relationship.Several years later these two are grown up. They have lost touch and Kendall is married to Adam. What we find out about their marriage is a hard pill to swallow. A marriage that was based on things that never came to fruition and tragic circumstances have slowly taken their toll. Things are uncomfortable and time hasn’t been kind to Kendall. We find her depressed, sad, lonely and trying to dig her way out of a hole she can’t seem to get out of. Reading this felt so raw and I wanted to reach into my Kindle and hug her. Her support network is thousands of miles away, she’s by herself and can’t seem to connect with Adam. Slowly Kendall begins to find herself and crawl out of her depression by taking a job on a nearby Navy base teaching Spanish. She pulls herself out of bed and starts to find herself again. We begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel, she begins to find purpose. That’s when Leo comes back into her life.Leo is still the funny, conceited, smart ass we remember but with a bit more maturity. He and Kendall start their friendship up again and we see them fall back into a comfortable friendship until Kendall is finally forced to admit to herself that things aren’t as friendly as she keeps trying to believe. Leo is fierce in his beliefs and keeps his distance, this was so incredibly perfect in this situation. (Note...for those of you that abhor cheating, there is no cheating.) What happens with these two is organic. Something that is a long time coming and while we are all true romantics at heart, this is a slow burn here. Their happily ever after takes some work but when it comes, it’s so beautiful. I feel like I’m going to be hungover for quite some time here. Two people that met, lost each other and then came back together slowly but oh so perfectly. The end is full of feeling and so much love I honestly felt like my heart was so carefully being sewn back together and I found myself smiling and hugging my Kindle. These are the kinds of feelings that keep me coming back for more with this author. The angst and happiness, heartbreak and love.

When Kendell Simmons decides to move forward with her life, she never realized she would be putting SEAL Leo Callaway back in her life as well. Introduced to Kendell and Leo in the Bronze Bay series, this book, Lust In Translation, A Harbour Point SEAL Novel, dives deeper into their “friendship”. Kendell is now married to Adam, because of a pregnancy which unfortunately ended with a still birth. Kendell and Adam’s relationship is heavily strained, and now adding broody and interested Leo into the picture…"Every once in a while, maybe with a little help or support from our friends, we succeed in unwitting ways. The glass case we surround ourselves in to protect ourselves cracks, and we truly begin living. Either for the first time ever, or again, a second chance. Or a third. Or a fourth. Because there is no limit on joy except for the stipulations and limitations we create."The author, Rachel Robinson, touched on some sensitive subjects in this book. The characters are struggling with marriage and pregnancy issues, job situation, depression, and then tragedy/disability. This is a pretty emotional story with fantastic characters, setting, and I loved the storyline, even though I felt as if there was “cheating” of sorts. I struggled to get past that fact, as that is a hard “NO” in my reading preferences, but I still loved this book so much that I felt I needed to look past that and I am glad I did. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this book and look forward to the next book in the series!

Kendall is in a dark place after suffering such a tremendous loss. She has nothing left to give her marriage she has nothing left to give life, really. That is until she sees him again.Leo Calloway. The one that got away, or more like the one she never had but always wanted. Leo knew though, they were too young. It wasn’t their time. Then life happened and they both went their own way. It’s not until he reappears in her life that she realizes what she’s been missing. What she needs to breath again.LOVED IT!!!!I felt every single emotion the two of these characters felt. The longing for each other was palpable. The tragedy and loss broke my heart but I thoroughly enjoyed how they put each other back together.
