OMG! i love this book! I'm planning a wedding and luckily for me my future mother in law is an event planner unfortunately she is also old school and very into big bridal, so this book gave me the courage to stand up for what I wanted and kept me on track for what was really important .Jamie Lee made wedding planning fun, and eased me into trying to figure out what was important to my fiance and I ,and where to draw the line with in laws . Not only is this book super informative but its also very very funny . l I will pass this on to my newly engaged friend and hope it helps her in the same way it helped me.
As a recovering bride, I so wish I'd had Jamie Lee's hilarious guide to help me through the whole stressful, maddening, absurd, and crazy emotional process. This is a perfect gift for any bride to be, especially if she has a sense of humor.
I got this book for my friend, who is getting married in October and unfortunately has had a little wedding drama. It was exactly what she needed. I flipped through it (I got married this past year) and it's blunt, hysterical and 100% relatable.
At this point, I appreciate anything that doesn't make me feel like I'm the one being ridiculous for thinking everything about wedding planning is ridiculous. It's funny, it's personal, I recommend it.
Super funny. Gave me a realistic voice in my head when I was worried about our centerpieces looking cheap or when picking a dress/venue/catering. The wedding industry is totally out of control and being real about that helped me be more happy with planning.
This book is AWESOME! It is so funny that I am constantly finding myself taking screenshots and sending them to my fiancé and to my friends. Worth reading whether you're about to walk down the aisle or you're staunchly opposed to marriage... or anywhere in between.
I absolutely loved this book while planning my wedding!! It brings a great perspective and some much needed comedy during the stress of wedding planning and the fact that stuff happens and not everything has to be perfect. Definitely a must read for any bride who starts feeling the stress of wedding plan or for anyone who could just use a good laugh.
This book is hilarious. There are a lot of book for brides that tell you want to hear. This isn't one of them. This one tells you how it really is. A must read for any one who is getting married or has ever been married. Jamie Lee is a hysterical comedian and brilliant writer.
